Her Rebound, His Mate

Chapter 9

Genesis POV

I hear some talking, I hear mom ordering some pizza from Lugi's Pizzeria, and I immediately sit up. "Mom, can we get some Chicken Alfredo, too?" I asked.

"Sure" she replied.

We all gathered ourselves from my bed and headed downstairs to wait on the delivery guy with our order. It's those types of moments we share as a family that I know I will miss the most when I finally head off to college. I don't think they truly understand how much I love them and appreciate them. They have both been so supportive of me during this situation, that I put myself in and never once have they judged me. A small smile started to form on my face, as I continue to think about my family, no one would ever be able to replace these two. I know everything happens for a reason. I wander, a lot, would we be this close if dad was still here. I know, his leaving left us depending on each other even more. Would I have needed my brother or mother as much, if dad was still alive? The loud sound of the door bell pulled me from my thoughts, and I jump up to answer the door. 

"Jr. I need help" I screamed.

Within a flash, he was there grabbing as much as he can, "I got you, sis."

We took the food to the living room, I sat on the floor, while mom took the long couch and Jr. the love seat. We dive into the food laughing at whatever show it was mom put the television on. We had no clue what was going on, we were lost together and that made it even more funny. I thought life was taking a turn for the worst for me but it actually showed me what I needed the most when I needed it and I am thankful for it all. 

Duke POV

Taking over the Golden Sun Pack, is one of my biggest accomplishments and such an honor.  I never realized how much work my dad actually did, he made everything look so easy, and I'm quite sure I'll get there one day, I just need my Luna. Trying to ease my mind I decided to go for a run, down by the sanctuary, while heading in that direction, I was informed that we have a breach. I told my top warriors to wait for my arrival and stay back. The closer I got to the boarder, I began to smell vanilla and cocoa butter.  As the scent got louder, my legs were moving faster, and once I realized something was off just a little I told everyone to stop immediately, and fall back.

"Alpha, what's going on?" Colton, one of my warriors asked.

I tried to come up with something quick because we were very close to my mate and I didn't want them to know I may have found my mate, just yet or scare her. I knew she couldn't have been a wolf because, werewolves know not to cross into another territory without speaking to the Alpha first. I don't know how things would have turned out if I wasn't out running when we were told about the breach around the south borders.  I guess you can say I was in the right place, at the right time. I was hoping it was a rogue, someone I could tear my teeth into to release some of this pent up frustration I have. But this is turning out better than expected.

"It's just a human." I replied

"What if it's a hunter?" Smart ass, Colton asked.

Jasper was starting to get angry, for Colton asking all these questions, but that's his job to protect this pack, but right now is not the time to scare off the one person, I been looking for. 

In my Alpha tone, "Colton, fall back, like I asked. I will handle this. If it is a hunter, I will request for backup if need be, but as of now, let me assess the situation, we are not to harm any innocent human or scare them." 

"Yes, Alpha."

I continue on without anyone following me, and her scent was driving me crazy. I truly didn't want to scare her so I watched her from a distance. I watched her as if she was the only thing that mattered. I was trying to get closer, to get a better view of her until I stepped on the stick causing her to flinch, and she looked nervous and started to put on her clothes and rush to her car. 

"Don't let her leave, she is mine." Jasper yelled at me. 

I quickly mind-linked my beta, "Ralph, watch over the pack, until I get back."  There's no way in hell I will lose her before I even know her name.

On que, "No problem, what's going on?" 

"I'll tell you about it when I get back, reassure everyone that everything is okay. Just get everybody back in their right positions, explain to them that there is no threat, and the human has left our territory."

"Yes, Alpha"

"Thanks, buddy!" and cut off my link.

As her car started to back up and turn around, I ran alongside the car in the woods, watching her. Just when she was about to cross the bridge which is where my territory end, I jumped in front of her car.  At the time I thought it was the most logic thing to do, trying to blocked her path from leaving but she only pressed down harder on the gas. I could that she was scared and curious, at the same time. I followed her to her next location, I have to make sure I know where to find her. I ran about a hour, jumping in and out of the woods without being noticed, wandering what will happen next. But what didn't make sense to me the more she drove and I ran is why she ended up in my territory anyway, boy am I glad she did. Her body is amazing, she looks better than majority of the she-wolves around here. I watched her as she pulled up at her home, I'm assuming. A woman, who looks like a older version of her came running to her car, yelling, "Genesis Leann Keaton" and hugging her at the same time, while a few other people along with an officer seemed relieved that she made it back.  I couldn't help but wander, Did she run away? Two girls grabbed her in a hug, and when she made it up her steps, she jumped on the guy, embracing him in a hug, which made me growl in anger. I started to retreat, because I didn't want Jasper to do something he'll regret later.  If I'm truly being honest, I think I was equally upset and hurt. I couldn't leave right now, not knowing if this is her home or not.  I studied the home as much as I could and realized that the boy she hugged was her brother.  And just as I was about to head back home, I seen her in the window.  Our eyes connected, but she blinked  as if she was seeing things. I was now content and was ready to figure out a plan. I ran home with many thoughts in my head, not knowing which way to go. Right now I just need to calm down and think of a game plan. She may not know who I am now, but she will learn of me soon.

Standing in the shower, I can't seem to get that girl off my mind, I know she is my mate, my wolf, Jasper, wouldn't stop saying it. How could the moon goddess pair me with a human? I have so many questions that are just unanswered and I don't know anyone who could probably be able to answer them for me, besides the moon goddess, herself.  I wander how or will she accept me and adjust to my lifestyle. Will she be happy with me?  I haven't even spoken a word to her and she has me going insane.  Her scent hit me like a ton of bricks, at first I thought I was imagining things, but the closer me and my warrior made it to the borders, Jasper, tried to take over.  I mind-linked my warriors and told them to stop immediately, do not attack.

Just thinking about her removing her clothes as slowly as she did, walking into the water, is a constant image that keeps replaying in my head. I got to have her, mark her, mate her, and make her mines. The mere thought of her is causing me to swell and I just learned her name. I run my hand through my head trying to figure out how can we causally bump into each other, she has to understand that she was made for me. I slowly grabbed the tip of d**k and stroked it. I imagine her walking towards me swaying those hips side to side while staring into my eyes. She could sense the lust and love coming off of me, as she raise her hands to my neck and twirl her fingers through my hair. I slowly reached down and grab her thighs lifting her above my waist. I began to stroke a little faster. She plants her lips against mines and start kissing me, as soon as I had the chance I shoved my tongue into her mouth and took control. She is moving so much against me, it caused my d**k to twitch, between her thighs. Now I am stroking harder and faster, trying to reach my high, I am almost there. Now she is pulling away from the kiss and trying to catch her breath, and one quick move I undo her bra and watch her perky erect n*****s stand at attention for me. As I take one in my mouth, sucking and rubbing on it, I released myself in the shower. "f**k!" I haven't even met the girl and I'm already head over hills for her. There is nothing I wouldn't do for her. Stepping out of the shower, my beta Ralph, is requesting my presence in my office, through mind-link. I quickly, grabs some briefs, black ripped jeans, and a black V-neck shirt, with my vans and head to my office to meet my beta.  I walk into my office and there Ralph is already sitting, waiting, for me. 

Ralph in his usual sarcastic voice, "So, are we being formal or not?"

"No, we're not."  I replied, with a smirk and eye roll.

"Good, cause I got questions. What happened out there and where did you go?" He blurted out.

Jasper displayed a picture of her in the water at the sanctuary, in my head, and I could barely hear him whisper mate, I could only smile.

Waving his hands in my face, "Hello, earth to Duke." 

Before I knew it, I said "MATE."
