-He called me baby… while f*****g me!- Ally sighed while giving her cigarette a long drag- It was so awkward.
-Oh, for Christ’s sake, what's wrong with you? – Jo stated while stirring the contents of the pot she was making soup in- People say weird s**t while having s*x all the time. It’s not such a big deal.
-I just don’t want to be anyone’s baby… not right now. And why can he just follow the rules? Aren’t guys always looking to get laid without further complications? I’m giving him the ultimate fantasy, and he goes and f***s it up.
-That’s your prejudice talking, Ally - Jo handed her a bowl of soup - Maybe he does want a relationship.
-I don’t- Ally replied, blowing over her steamy soup.
-What about that other guy, Harry?
-Oh- she sighed- I couldn’t do it anymore, my p***y just shut out to him. So now, we’re back to being just friends.
-Well, maybe your p***y is trying to tell you something.
-Ha, ha… maybe.
Ally’s cellphone rang, and she went to grab it from the coffee table.
-Speak of the devil - Jo smirked, ogling the screen
-Shut up!- Ally went to answer the ringing device, a smile growing on her lips -Hello?
-Hey Ally - Gus’s voice reached her ears, making her shiver - See, my band is playing a gig tonight, so I was wondering if you wanna come?
-Really? I didn’t know you were in a band.
Jo’s eyes rolled up, her lips mouthing s****l implications. Ally threw a cushion at her face to make her stop.
-Yeah, it’s been going on for a couple of years now… So, what do you say? Join me?
-Okay, text me the address, I’ll be there
Ally took a moment to fix her hair and black outfit before walking to the entrance of the noisy bar. A band was already warming up the stage and a small crowd cheered eagerly.
She soon spotted Gus in the back, among a big group of people. He was standing casually sipping a bottle of beer with a guitar case perched on his shoulder. She made her way to him, and he noticed her presence before she could reach him. He smiled widely and walked up to her.
-Hey you!- He said, giving her a quick peck on the lips- and grabbing her by the wrist - Come! Meet my friends - he said, dragging her to the table.
-Hey everyone, this is Ally- He pointed to four other guys sitting at the edge of the table- Ally this is Saul, our other guitarist, Peter here... bass, Alex our drummer and Oliver our lead singer.
-Hi Ally, nice to meet you - Saul said, giving her a wave, as did the others.
-So, Gus, is that your new girlfriend? – A bubbly short girl sitting in the middle asked while raising an eyebrow inquisitively. The other three girls around her were looking at her equally intrigued.
-We're just friends - Ally replied quickly, looking down at her boots and feeling awkward.
-Bummer- the girl replied pouting her lips- I got all excited thinking you were finally with someone after all this time, Gus. You know we could use a fifth member to cheer on you guys. Anyway, I’m Christie -she said, smiling broadly at Ally and extending her hand.
Ally shook it firmly – Nice to meet you Christie, and don’t worry… I’ll cheer along, no problem.
-Great! I like you already - Christie’s smile extended - Now, this is Bren, Peter’s girlfriend - Christie pointed at a beautiful dark-haired girl sitting on her right, then turning to a brunette on her left - This is Betsy, Alex’s wife and this one over here is Jess, Oliver’s fiancée.
“Wow, so this is the groupie squad” Ally thought to herself as she took a seat among them.
-Don’t pester her that much, Christie - Gus warned - We’re up next, so I’m gonna get my pedals ready, Ok?- He said looking at Ally.
She nodded, smiling, and he went to do his thing.
– So, you are… Saul’s girlfriend? - Ally inquired, turning to Christie.
-Oh no, no. I’m just a very old friend to all of them - Christie smirked, then leaned to her ear and whispered - That guy, just like our dear Gus over there, got his heart crushed to a pulp a while ago, and he’s still picking up the pieces.
Ally gulped and didn’t reply. Instead, she started looking around trying to catch sight of the waiter, her eyes meeting his as she signaled him for a beer. When the cold liquid finally reached her throat, she sighed in relief.
She stared absentmindedly as Gus strapped his Jackson guitar on and walked over to the stage.
-Ok guys! Are you ready to rock? – Oliver shouted into the microphone and the crowd erupted in cheers. Ally joined them, smiling widely and headbanging at the rhythm of the music.
They were awesome! Pocketing the audience from minute one and having a great time on stage. They all clicked together perfectly and, Oh, Gus! He looked stunning… handling his guitar in such a way that made her almost cream her panties.
She watched him mesmerized as he played effortlessly through the most intricate notes. Leaving her in awe.
The performance ended too soon for her liking, even when they played two encores, it just felt too short. She applauded eagerly, cheering and laughing along with the girls and by the end of the night she was happily tipsy, and her throat was sore from shouting out loud so much.
She approached Gus as he gathered his stuff and pecked him on the lips – That was amazing! – She said, running her fingers through his chest.
-Thanks- He said, scratching the back of his neck, blushing – I’m glad you liked it.
She went to kiss him, this time deepening it. The alcohol running through her veins making her bolder.
He responded by pulling her closer by the waist, kissing her back heatedly.
-Listen- He said, stopping to catch his breath- I need to take all my equipment back to the apartment. So, I was wondering if you would like to come home with me?
Ally pulled him by the hems of his jeans, kissing him for a little longer. She couldn’t think of a better way to end this night than riding him until the sun came out.
