I found Nick still up watching Cartoon Network, but not wanting to get near him as I was soaked in rain.
"Ohh Ma'am, what happened to you? Why you are all wet?"
She was about to leave my son but I motioned her to stay there as I headed to the bathroom first. A hot shower would be good for tonight.
"Hi Nick!" I called my son and he left the couch walkng towards me.
"Mommy.." he hugged me first before he kissed me on my cheek. I took him with me and laid on the couch.
"I miss you baby.. sorry if Mommy came home late.." I hugged him tightly like I could amend with my shortcomings.
"Miss you, Mommy.." he said in his cute little voice.
"Ma'am, will I prepare your dinner now?"
"Thanks, Janeth." I told her and continued playing with Nick. "I will tuck him in bed first."
