As you know, the council has concluded the interrogation of all students involved in the incident concerning the siren princess and the dragon prince.'

'My lady, could you please tell us how everything happened? My wife and I raised Warren since he stopped weaning. We love him as our own son and know him very well. Warren is a shy and quiet boy and only got into trouble because of Lucas. As a warrior, he doesn't attack first, Warren never attacks first. Him attacking a princess is out of character for him.' says Jared passionately

The principal narrates the incident according to the reports received and statements written by witnesses. The more she narrates, the more the dragon king fumes in his seat.

'Are you telling me that my son attacked a princess without cause and his bride-to-be merely stood and watched, without trying to stop him?' asks the dragon king, looking at the principal.

The principal stops her narration, and everyone looks at him, 'According to the reports, your eminence, yes.' she replies

The king growls and stands, ordering one of the servants standing behind him and his wife.

'GET THAT DAMNED DUKE AND DUCHESS. I WANT THEM DRAGGED BY THE NECK IN MY QUARTERS WHEN I ARRIVE! MOVE!' and the servant flees like he is on fire.

His wife holds his shaking hand, and he grips it. She pulls him to sit with her and he obliges her.The continuous tapping of his left foot could be heard as he took deep breaths trying to relax, waiting for his orders to be carried out while his mate gently stroked his back.

'And I thought you had a temper. Your friend is beyond scary when angry.' mind-links Winter to her husband.

'This isn't scary. You should have seen what he was like before he found his queen. That was scary, "Jared replies through the link looking at Winter.

'Shall we continue?' asks the principal, looking at the dragon king, unfazed by his earlier reaction. He simply nods in response. The principal continues her narration, answering questions asked by the royals. When she concludes, Nadia is in tears upon the realization that Nicarra was struck by lightening.

''Who struck her?' asks Resus, his tone turning cold.

'I did' replies the principal without flinching.

'Why?' sobs Nadia

'Was it necessary, my lady?' asks Winter.

'She was casting a spell in heavenly language.' replied the principal softly, looking at Nadia.

'Impossible', whispers Nadia.

'Yet it was clearly heard by several witnesses, including myself.'

'What is a heavenly language?' asks the lycan king.

'It is the original form of spell casting. Once it is done, it can not be undone. Only witches who have been granted audiences with the mothers of the third heavens can speak it, but to be granted audience you would have to live a life of piety for at least a century as a witch. In all my years of existence, I have only seen one witch with the gift.' said the dragon king.

'So she proved to be pious and was granted the gift. How is that bad?' asks winter.

'A teenager speaking the language of the third heavens is like giving the controls of a loaded gatling gun to a toddler. Every coven around the world will do anything to have her.' says Nadia

'She cannot stay here!' says Resus.

'A memory fog spell has been cast around the entire school. No one remembers what really happened, except that she struggled against the vines and fell hitting her head. The only ones with knowledge of the truth are the deans, art masters, myself, and now you' says the principal..

'Can we trust them?' asks Nadia.

'We will keep her safe, princess, do not worry.' says the principal.

'So what happens now?' asks Winter

'The council has concluded investigations. However, because your children are covered by royal immunity, the council fears to judge them. Which is why I have called you here. I wish that you remove their royal immunity temporarily, pending the period of the sentencing as prescribed by the council.'

'How will that affect our children?' asks the crown prince.

'Nyssa and Lisa have been cleared of no wrong doing, so it won't affect them directly.

For Lucas, Nicarra, Cecil, and Warren, however, it would mean that they will no longer be under your royal protection, and the judges who sentence them will live without fear of retribution from anyone of you. If the judgement seems wrong or harsh, only the defendant may appeal through the school governing body, but at no point will any of you interfere with the process.'

The dragon king looks at his wife holding her hand, and she nods

'I will not stand in the way of Warrens or Cecils punishment,' says the dragon king to everyone's surprise.

'Warren is a future king and should understand that actions have consequences. I do not condone abuse on women, physical or otherwise. Regardless of his reasons, my son had no right to physically attack a princess or any other woman that posed no threat to him. I, king of all shifters of the air, withdraw the royal immunity of my son Warren and that of his companion, Cecil says the dragon king, and he continues

'I am glad that your daughter inherited your sense of patience and diplomacy at such a young age, princess Nadia. Otherwise, our nations would be preparing for war. However, I also agree with the crown prince that anyone who has the courage to fight a wrong should be considered a hero, not a villain. For that reason, after listening to all the facts, I am withdrawing all charges of assault on dragons against your niece.'

'Thank you, Your Majesty.' says Nadia teary eyed.

'However, with concerns to the rejection; I refuse to give judgement. In my lifetime, I have seen the result of forced bonds many times, and it always ends in pain and sorrow. I would prefer we let our children deal with that issue themselves.' he says, looking at Resus.

'I also withdraw all charges against your son, Your Highness. However, if he or this Cecil attack my daughters again, Nicarra's wrath will be the least of their worries.' says Resus

'I understand,' says the dragon king.

He looks at the principal, 'Can we trust that Nicarra will be treated fairly, and won't be treated less simply because she is not a royal by birth? She has been through a lot. The last thing I need is someone bullying her, knowing I won't be able to protect her.'

'Five dragons got stitches prince Resus, with two wearing casts. With that kind of reputation, I don't think you need to worry about her ever getting bullied.' says King Jared

Everyone looks at the lycan king and queen, and they say simultaneously, 'What?'

'I withdraw the royal immunity upon my niece Nicarra.' says the crown prince.

'I guess that leaves us,' says Jared, looking at the principal.

'I, Jared king of all land shifters, remove the immunity of my son Lucas.'

'Thank you, your majesties, now I will allow you to rest in your quarters. You will have breakfast with me in the morning, and then you may speak to your children before they face the council tomorrow.' says the principal

'Can we be present at the proceedings, my lady?' asks Nadia

'As long as you promise not to interfere' replies Ethereal standing up.

'Good night,' she says, bowing, and they all bow to her responding to her greeting.

The dragon king takes her hand on his arm and leads her over the bridge to the door of her personal quarters and leaves her to return to his wife as the royals disperse.
