It turned out that Jinna had given Lyvia more drugs to keep her docile and forgetful. Jinna had also fed Lyvia a bunch of lies about Callan. It was a tangled web of lies that was so hard for Callan to explain away to Lyvia. She woke up dazed and confused. She still could not remember anything much but she recognised him.
“Callan?” she murmured after she opened her eyes. She looked at him, questions brimming in her eyes. “What’s going on?”
