“He tried to take me!” Clara cried.
“My name is Arthur, love,” he replied with a wink.
Ben snarled viciously. Dimitri growled, and I lunged for him. He was quick, though, grabbing my arm and throwing me to the left. I barely caught myself before hitting the wall. Clara waved her hand. The books in the office flew off their shelves, pelting Arthur in the head and torso. At the same time, Gideon hit him with another spell that lifted him off the ground and effectively pinned him against the wall by invisible restraints.
“You’re outnumbered and outclassed,” I told him, “Do yourself a favor and tell us where Violet is. Maybe I’ll make your death less painful.”
