We had been back at the estate for two days. My mother and father greeted me with open arms and congradulated us as a couple. On the morning of the second day of our return I was given an invitation from Finnick who was inviting us to his mansion for a 'surprise'.
Jackson and myself dressed modestly, our clothing style was toned down completely in comparison to those normaltons in the Capitol. In less than a half hour we would be picked up by a car and taken higher up to the mansion that belonged to Finnick and his wife.
As we arrived to his place of dwelling Finnick greated me too warmly and I knew from that second something wasn't right. We were taken into the house and down below to what seemed like a catacomb that was beneath his house. I froze up as I had a flashback of walking through the catacombs beneath the arena. Jacksons warm embrace brought me to.
We finally stopped outside a locked room and Finnick pulled out a key from his breast pocket. I watched him as he kept my gaze as he unlocked the door. When it opened he stepped back to let me pass.
"I thought you might like to see this." He said as he closed the door and snapped his fingers to bring on the lights.
In the center of the room beaten, bloody and unconscious was Tierney. I ran forward and knelt before her. I carefully took her face in my hands and tilted it up. Her eyes and face was swollen I only recognized her from her petite form.
"Tierney." I whispered comfortingly. "Look at me love. Look. Come on wake up." I pleaded as if this would help. She didn't move.
Finnick walked forward and placed his hand on my shoulder which I smacked away. I didn't want his filthy hands on me, I didn't even want him near me.
"Just let her go." I said staring into her face. "Please I will do anything."
Finnicked hummed as if he liked the sound of that. "Anything at all?" He asked.
I looked up at him and nodded my head. "Anything."
"Okay then. I want your first born son." He told me.
I froze as I replayed these words. I was positive he said he wanted my first born son. I turned and looked at Jackson.
"You are supposed to be my brother, why would you do this to me?" Jackson asked him as he joined my side and cradled me in his arms. "Have a heart."
Finnick laughed. "I have a heart, just not for you." He hissed. "Deal or no deal." he pushed impatiently.
I looked up at Jackson. "What if our baby is a girl?" he asked him.
"If its a girl you will try again and again until you have a boy." He answered in reply.
"And what if we only have girls?" He then asked.
Finnick walked across the room and clicked a button that began feeding medicine to Tierney which caused her blood to thin causing her to bleed.
"Stop!" I screamed grabbing my hair.
The buzzing of the machine stopped and the bleeding slowed until it seized all together. I relaxed a bit.
"Jackson?" I whispered. "What do we do?" I asked him.
Jackson rose to his feet and held out his hand. His face looked serious. "If Tierney survives we will birth you a boy that I swear to" He said.
The two agreed and they shook hands. Finnick smiled as he snapped his fingers instantly gaurds entered the room. They undid Tierney from the restraints and removed the tubing that fed her the drugs.
"You have 10 years to bring about a son. If there is none I will chain you two and your children up and take Tierney and your youngest daughter and torture them to death while you are all watching." He threatened
After Finnicks personal doctors checked me to make sure I was pregnant we left in one of the Capitol hover crafts. 3 minutes later we were at our home. Jackson carefully carried Tierney into the house and set her in a bed before he went to grab medicines and herbs for me to care for her with.
If we were lucky Tierney would survive. I eventually had to make a tea bath of herbs and set Tierney in it because there was so much poison inside her body. I sat at the side of the bath with Jackson watching the water tint to different shades. After 12 hours of bathing in herbs she was finally well enough to wake from her poison coma.
Tierney blinked several times and I touched her arm. She screamed and closed her eyes while she began begging for her life in her tiny voice. The moment she heard my voice she turned slowly to look at me.
"Aloe?" She whispered.
I nodded my head and took her frail body and pulled it into my arms.
"My name is now CalliRose." I whispered to her. "Aloe doesn't exist in the Capitol."
She began crying and shivering at the same time. I needed to get her out of the bath and get her warm before she got a cold. Jackson handed me a towel and I wrapped it around her body before I brought her into my arms and carried her from the room.
I shooed Jackson from the room to give us some privacy and I began drying her off with the towel. This was the first time I really noticed her primordial dwarfism. She was really thin and I bet if I wrapped my hand around her limbs I could still touch my fingers. She was a 16 year old girl if you counted every year she was alive. Still yet she looked like she hadn't hit puberty at all.
I found a large shirt and put it on her as a temporary night gown. It fell past her knees and made her look smaller. Once she was dressed she wrapped her arms around my leg and held me.
"I thought they were going to kill me." She whispered.
I knelt down so I was eye level with her and pulled her into my arms. She was still shaking but I knew it wasn't from being cold, she was still terrified.
"I'd never let them do that sweetheart." I said as I rubbed her back.
I cradled her face in my hands and rubbed my finger along her cheek bone before I kissed her. Jackson joined us a few minutes later and helped me to tuck her in. It was one oclock but Tierney needed a nap so Jackson and I sat by her side at her request and sang to her until she fell asleep.
I smiled as I watched her laying there in her slumber. She looked like a porcelain doll. Small, angelic and fragile. My daugther.
