Hunter's POV:
I received a letter from Ivory, and I ripped that sucker open in seconds. Carmen saw me open it viciously and tried to look at it, so instead I read it to her, and the small crowd forming around us.
"Dear Hunter, I would like to inform you that the ritual I have taken a part of will be longer than what you thought. I must travel away..." I start to read, but my sudden anger at her departure even farther makes Carmen rip the note away and read it again.
"Until I give...give birth to our c-child." Carmen stammers.
"What!?" I roar and jump to her side, reading along with her.
