With the darkness of the night having occupied the space in which his eyes fell for the last several hours, Zane tried to think of a way he could escape the blackmailer occupying the bed beside him. Thankfully, she seemingly wanted to partake solely within his lifestyle and not so much of his life, allowing him the freedom to train and even speak to Candace.
At about two in the morning, Zane's cell phone screen lit up to show a new text message from a number he hadn't seen before...a number that he quickly learned was Candace after she asked how he was with "the stalker". He chuckled at the comparison before responding that he is keeping an eye on her to make sure the video isn't released. She thanked him before then asking if he couldn't sleep either.
