While placed within the cold confines of a singular prison cell, Zane tried to fathom how Natasha could have claimed anything against him; especially assault. He couldn’t bring himself to lift his gaze up to his circumstances as the sight of the bars around him had reminded him of his poor chance of his truth being understood as the truth. To make matters worse, he was now a caged animal to those who had stones to throw at him, and he would have no choice but to stand there. The first of his visitors had been Paul and Mackenize, his stepfather having looked to him in amusement while his sister looked at him in pain. The poor younger sibling was unaware of the details of her brother’s imprisonment or even what it meant. For a young child her age all she knew was that bad people go to prison
