*Gabriella’s POV*
Hearing from Marco made me happy. Even Xavier’s mood picked up. We wait for me to be released from the hospital so we can pack bags ready to go to Marco. The goddess visited us during the night and said we would be moved to Marco soon. We were abandoning the castle. But our loved ones will be with us. Even my adoptive parents will be moved with us. I was worried that they would be forgotten about and left behind. It makes me sad we are leaving the castle, but for our plan to work, we have to let the goddess replace us with her men.
Xavier and I pack bags and the belongings that are important to us. Then we wait for the goddess to come to us. We sit on the bed, and Xavier takes my hand. “I am so happy you are okay, my love. I hope we get more time alone.” I lean on him
