In the morning, Ronald was the last one to come down for breakfast, holding the rope that tied Woof and Thumpa together by their necks.
Reylom was talking with the Innkeeper while looking at the morning menu, and Duza called Ronald to sit at her side.
Two Guards were seated at a table, with another one standing next to them.
When Ronald was approaching Duza, one of the Guards that was seated quickly put his feet in front, and Ronald tripped, going against the City Guard that was standing.
The three of them immediately grabbed Ronald and one of them spoke: “Attacking a City Guard so early in the morning? You must be stupid, Farmer!”
Woof and Thumpa growled at them, and the sight of two enormous wolves showing their teeth with their fur raised made them freeze.
