While Mira’s group was under attack, back on the outskirts of the City of Durant, two Royal Guards were escorting Haje Sonanji and Sholma Cuss to his new lands, at least the ones that belonged to the former Count Roko Kawenne.
The two Guards at the front gate opened it as soon as the Royal Guards waved at them from a distance and moved to the sides, greeting as they went through by placing their right fists on their chests.
Haje looked ahead and gulped. In front of him stood a stone road lined with well-tended grass that led to a huge manor with three floors. At the front of the manor, two tall and thin trees reached the first floor, where two other Guards were expecting them.
