Now that I know the truth about myself and where I come from, I honestly can't believe that my aunt actually believed that I would let this whole thing go. I used to think that she knew me better than anyone else, that she would be the first one to know if something was wrong or if I was lying.
I guess she is not as good as she thinks she is, or she's pretending to be in the dark. Either way, I have to keep my guard up. I might have a lot on my plate, but I still have things that I need to prioritize at the moment.
That is why I had to rush to the Skyhigh Tech offices to meet up with Rene. She was already in the office waiting for me when I arrived. She was with Emma.
