" Is what they said true?" Phoebe asked me with tears clouding her eyes.
Nothing can break my heart like the pain I see in Phoebe's eyes. Nor can I understand the pain she's going through right now. I know that her aunt was only trying to protect her, but I think that she might have taken things too far.
Keeping her wolf from her like that is a fate worse than death for werewolves. Her whole adult life must have felt like a part of her had been cut off. They even diagnosed her with a mental disorder.
Then she met Ashton. Instead of protecting her, he was the one who hurt her. Now she's finally moving on with me, and they tell her that we're meant to destroy each other. Even if it was true, how can I tell her?
