Zane's POV
I made a mess the last time I was in Lester City, I wasn't surprised to find out that Ashton is still looking for Phoebe. I just didn't expect that he would take things this far, and he did.
I was told that someone has been keeping eyes on us since we landed in Lester City, but that was expected. I wouldn't have given up on Phoebe either, but then again, I would have never hurt her, not like he did.
When I got into the house, I received a call from one of the guys I sent ahead to keep an eye on Phoebe, when he told me that Phoebe wasn't with Alex, I almost lost it. I don't want her to be alone, especially now.
But she told me that she wasn't ready to tell her aunt about us, which I understand. Her divorce hasn't been finalized yet, which is the only thing blocking us.
