Meeting My Dragon

Caroline and I are so excited that we made it through the first 3 weeks, and we will be finding out very shortly if we are to be brides or tribute. We know we stayed at the top of the list, and we really are hoping for brides and for our dragon to love us.

 We have a few more classes to finish, and we learn more about having their babies really means. We learned that when we are pregnant with their babies, we will only carry for 6 months, not 9 months similar, to humans. Which sounds great, but what we did not know was that dragon shifter babies are they grow faster and bigger so, we give birth early. But the baby will be larger when it is born. 

On Monday, we have classes, and when we get back to the room, we see our letters sitting there waiting for us. We pick up our report. And wish each luck and open our own envelopes. And Caroline yelps with glee and smiles from ear to ear and said, she is a bride to be and has already been chosen. 

And he is the 2nd in command, and she will find out more when she meets her husband to be. She is so excited, and I am so afraid to read mine. All I can think about what if I am only a tribute or what if I get a husband that takes me far away from Caroline. 

After Caroline nags me enough, I read my own, and I drop my letter on the floor, and I am totally speechless and in shock. Caroline picks up the report and reads it. And she yells super loud and tells me congratulations. 

She just knew I was going to end up with the Commanding Officer. How the hell did I get the Commanding Officer? Did he pick me, or did they pick me for him? I guess I will find out when we get to meet. And our reports tell us we will meet on Wednesday and will have the rest of the week to know them. 

Tuesday seems to take forever, and it is because we are looking forward to meeting our husbands to be. We are equally excited and scared for our meeting. We have our final classes, and now it is just waiting until Wednesday to meet them.

 We go to our room, and the nerves are upon us both, and so we just sit on the couch and say what we want them to be. 

Wednesday comes, and we arrive at the meeting hall. And I hugged Caroline and wished her luck, and tell her I love her, and I will see her later, and we will talk when we get back to our room. I left and went to the spot that I was told to report to, and I see the same gorgeous man that was at the end of the runway when I did my walk!

 I am so excited to think that maybe I really did get that lucky. When he finally speaks, he says Hi beautiful, how are you? And I say OK. And smile shyly, and then he asks me to look at him, and I look up and blush. He asks me if I would like to have a seat so we could get to know each other. 

He asks me to tell him about myself, and so I tell him. That, I am 18. And that I love reading and the beach, and I have always wanted to visit his planet. I also ask him; why did he choose me when there are so many beautiful women. 

And he gave me a little glare and said he picked the only one he wants, and that is me and never talk down on myself again. Or he will put me over his knee and spank me. I just stare at him and then ask him to tell me about himself.

He says, " my name is Rynok, and I am 24. And I am the Commander of the warriors, and I took one look at you and knew you were mine." And he said, " I desire to get to know you better, and I think we should go get something to eat and take a walk. " 

 We get up to leave, and I see Caroline smiling. And I wave to her and tell Rynok that "she is my best friend. " And he tells me, “ that the man she is with is his number 2 and that they live side by side.” And now, I am more excited to learn she will stay close to me. And we will get to still spend time together, especially, when or if they go to war.

Rynok asks, “ if we should invite them with us, or should it just be us at first. ” I think about it for a second and decide that we should take the time to talk to each other. And maybe we can all 4 get together to watch a movie after our walk.

 He says that is a great idea, so he goes over to say something to them, and I see them nod and know that they concurred. He asked me, " what is my favorite dinner? ” I reply that, “I love steak and loaded fries or mashed potatoes and broccoli and cheese.” And I know that the warriors eat lots of meat so, I know he will be happy with my selection.

We arrive there, and they waste no time in seating us, and our waitress comes over and said, “ Hi, my name is Amber, and I will be taking care of you this evening. What can I get for you tonight? ” Rynok orders “2 steak and potatoes and broccoli with cheese.” 

They bring out our food and ask us if the steaks are to our liking and so we cut into them and say they are perfect. We talk and ask each other questions, and the dinner goes by quickly, and as we touch, he says, “ You are my mate!” And then we were holding hands and walking, still talking and I honestly think this is the best night of my life!

We head back and go to my room, and Caroline and Barzulik are already there waiting and sitting real close, so I am assuming they hit it off too. We sit down, and Rynok pulls me onto his lap and says, " start the movie, I have my mate right where I want her!" And Caroline’s mouth just falls open, and she is so happy for me!
