The walk to the portal was long. Dana and I kept moving as much as possible but it wasn’t easy considering we were trying to carry with us two other people who were as good as dead given that they weren’t doing much. Something that terrified me since I’d grown up hearing that when a supernatural shifted into that state they only had so long. That they only had so long before it became permanent and they vanished for good, their spirits ‘passing on’ as it were, and they were never seen again. At least not alive.
