My words shocked me partially because of how hard it was to say them. To admit that this was the last time I’d be pulled into this made me feel better since it would mean an escape from the hellhole that this game was but also meant that whatever happened with mine and Hunter’s daughter we wouldn’t be a part of her life for as long as we should have been. It would be cut short and bittersweet.
