“Maybe the two of you are a better match than we anticipated,” Astra’s parting comment to Kessal seems to drive him over the edge since that punch in the gut feeling that I get when one of us gets a strong feeling races through me. Though when I find his eyes they’ve gone black around the amber, the colour brighter and tinted with moonstone blue. s**t.
I think about trying to reach him - besides sitting closer - but the lashes of power he keeps giving off unintentionally have me feeling unstable and suddenly ill. Added to that was the cold flame of the moonstone power inside my mate that transferred with the marks he and Braeden share with Dana and me. I felt more and more ill the longer I tried to figure out how to help Kessal regain control before what the voice warned
