Mated to a Werewolf

Chapter Two

After half an hour, I sigh. "What?" I say looking up at Hunter. 

"What what?" He says and smiles trying to act innocent. 

"You keep looking up at me. What do you want?" I ask, feeling annoyed. 

He laughs. "Nothing... just wanted to see how long it would take you to notice. Six times." He says smirking. 

I smile. "Hunter, you play too much." 

"But you still love me and you know it." He says. 

"Oh please, you love me more and YOU KNOW IT." I say now smirking. 

He laughs. 

"Ok, snack break." I say getting up. 

"Yes!" He says excitedly. 

He starts heading out of the room but I jump on his back.  

"Onward, get get!" I say pointing to the door while he holds me by the thighs on his back. 

"You're such a dork... and don't treat me like a horse." He says looking back at me. 

"Get get!" I say hitting him with my knees on his side. 

"I swear Lil, one of these days, this horse is goanna go wild and make you fall off of him." He says with a small smile. 

He carries me on his back all the way down the stairs and into the kitchen where dad is still doing work on the dining room table. 

My dad is a lawyer and he works for Hunter's parents. They are crazy rich and have my dad as their personal lawyer. That's the reason we stopped moving around and stayed in this town. 

My dad sees us and starts laughing. 

"You guys don't change." He says shaking his head. "You are destined to be together, I know it." 

"DAD Eww! That's not happening." I say getting off of Hunter. 

Hunter shakes his head in disproval as well. I'm like a sister to him. 

I kiss my dad on the head as we pass by him while he smiles. 

"Just you see." He whispers. 

I roll my eyes. 

The doorbell rings.  

"I ordered pizza for you guys, I knew you'd be hungry." My dad says. 

"Mr. Flores, you are the best!" Hunter says going for the door and my dad laughs. "Lil get the cat!!" Hunter yells from the living room. 

I laugh the whole way there. I grab her and put her outside. She's an indoor cat but she loves playing outside and she comes right back when she's done. 

Hunter brings the pizza in and I take the plates out. 

"By the way dad, I'm going to a party on Saturday." I say. 

"Will you be there Hunter?" He asks. 

"Yes, Mr. Flores. I'll keep her safe." He says smiling at him. 

My dad smiles and nods. He trusts Hunter just as much as I do. 

Once we finish eating, we head back upstairs and continue our project until it's time for him to leave. 

I start to walk him to the door. 

"Oh, so you're going to kiss me good night?" He asks giving me a flirty heated look which caught me by surprise because he never flirts with me like that... ever. We joke around and he teases me but that's it. 

"Hunter... what the hell? Why are you saying that?" I ask, feeling a little uncomfortable. 

His smile falls and he shrugs his shoulders looking confused too. 

I shake it off and ignore it. "Alright, see you tomorrow." I say and he walks to his car without saying anything. 

"That was strange."

The next day, Hunter picks me up for school like he always does. He always picks me up in the mornings to go to school and after, he takes me home. 

"Hey. Do we have a chem exam today?" He asks the moment I sit in his car. 

I laugh. "No, that's next Monday."  

"Yes!" He says looking hsppy. 

"Oh please, it's not like you're still going to study." I say rolling my eyes. 

He smiles. "Hey, let me have my little happy moment." 

We go to school and he parks at his usual spot. We head inside and we stop at his locker first.  

"So tomorrow for the party, I'll pick you up at seven." He says to me opening his locker and I nod. 

"Hey man." Owen says walking over to us with Nathan. 

"Hey boo." Nathan says putting his arm around me. 

"I'm breaking your fingers in three seconds if you don't take your arm off." I say. 

He laughs and takes his arm away. These guys are gorgeous, there's no denying that, but they are players and I ain't dealing with that. 

"Nathan, seriously, you really play too much!" Hunter says sounding angry. He slams the door of his locker and walks off. 

Owen and Nathan look at me confused. 

"What's wrong with him?" Owen asks. 

I shake my head confused too. "I have no idea. He was fine a moment ago." 

We walk faster and catch up to him. 

"Hunter, you ok?" Owen asks him. 

Hunter sighs. "Yea, I don't know what's wrong with me man." 

"Maybe you should ask your dad." Nathan says and Hunter nods. 

(Is it a guy thing then?) 

We then head to class. Once lunchtime comes, I find the guys outside at our usual table and I sit with them. 

"Lil, we are going to the lake tonight, you coming?" Hunter asks. 

I think about it for a moment. "I might have to sneak out of the house because I don't think my dad would be ok with that." 

"Then it's settled. I'll pick you up at ten." Hunter says. 

I nod. 

"Hey, Hunter." Darcy says seductively, walking towards us. She's one of the girls that is madly in love with him. 

He gives her his killer smile. 

"I heard that you know a lot about cars and well, mine is acting up. Do you think you could come and check it with me, it's in the back of the parking lot." 

We all look at each other knowing fully well what she's insinuating. 

"Of course, lead the way." He says and gets up walking after her. 

Once they are far away, we all look at each other and start laughing. 

"That was not subtle at all." I say. 

"Hahaha! She sounded so needy." Ethan says. 

Nathan wipes the tears in his eyes. "Man, I wish you'd say something like that to me, Lil." 

I roll my eyes at him. "Not happening." 

He makes a fake sad face which makes me smile. 

We didn't see Hunter for the rest of the lunch period.  

My last class is finally done and I head to the parking lot where Hunter is waiting for me. 

I smile. "So... did you find what was wrong with her car... did it needed a little of-" He interrupts me. 

"Lil, I don't kiss and tell." He says. 

"Sure you don't. " I say teasing him. 

"Hey, I'll tell you if you want me to." He gives me a smirk. 

I make an x with my arms. "NO! Thank you, but no." 

He laughs. 

"Did you at least use protection?" I ask, still trying to tease him. 

"I always do. This world would be a lot less safe having another one of me running around." He says smirking. 

I scrunch my face but nod in agreement. 

Once he takes me home, he stops the car in front of the house and turns to me. "Okay so remember, ten o'clock." 

"Yea, be ready to catch me." I say. 

"Like always." He says with a smile. 

l laugh and head inside where I find my dad cooking. 

"Hey beba." 

"Hey dad, what are you cooking?" I ask, smelling the air. 

"I'm making spaghetti." He says. 

"Yes! My favorite." 

He smiles and nods. 

I help him finish cooking and then we eat and talk for a bit but our conversation ends up on Hunter. 

"So, he's turning eighteen. Has Hunter been acting strange lately?" He asks. 

"Strange how?" I ask. 

"I don't know, like maybe angrier... does he... does he look at your neck a lot?" 

"My neck? Dad, what the heck?" I say confused. 

He laughs. "Don't mind me, I'm talking nonsense." 

I look at him blinking rapidly still confused. I let it go and once dinner is done, I head upstairs. I watch a TV show to kill time and once nine-thirty hits I get ready. I put my blue bathing suit underneath a white crop top with shorts and flip-flops. Once I'm done, I make sure where dad is. I see him in the living room watching a show. I go upstairs and then open my window where I see Hunter already waiting for me at the bottom. 

I throw my small bag that contains my clothes and my towel and then sit on the edge of the window. I'm a little worried but I know he'll catch me, he's done it before. 

I count to three and jump. Hunter catches me with a smile. 

"See, I always catch you." He says. 

I smile. "Yea, I know you do." 

He puts me down and we head to his car. Once we get to the lake, I am surprised. 

"You guys didn't say this was a party." I say confused. 

"It's not, but we did invite a few people." 

"Is that Paige?" I ask. Paige is his only ex-girlfriend. She is the only girl he ever dated and that was when he was like fifteen. 

"Yea that is her." He says without looking at me. 

I shrug my shoulders.  

"Wait, does that mean that her brother, Trevor, is here too?" I ask now feeling enthusiastic. 

He squints his eyes at me. "I don't know? Why?" 

"Because he's hot." I say looking around. 

That boy is yummy. Blond hair, blue eyes, and super fit like Hunter. He and Paige go to the high school in the town next to ours. 

Hunter rolls his eyes and gets out of the car, slamming the door and I follow. 

There are actually about ten people here and it's usually the people we always hang out with. These are some of the girls I can actually tolerate. 

"Hey Lilith, how you've been?" Page asks walking towards me. 

I smile. "Good and you." 

"I've been good, is Hunter still a jerk?" She says giving Hunter a playful smile and he looks at her irritated. 

I laugh. "Sometimes." 

"Lil, you traitor." Hunter says walking off. 

We talk for a bit and then she heads to the water with the other girls. I look around and see Trevor talking to Ethan and I can't help but stare. I don't even care if I get caught, he is so hot and since he isn't part of our little group, he is fair game, even if it's just for fun. 

Out of nowhere, I'm lifted up bridal style.  

"Hunter what the hell!" I yell. 

He laughs. "You need to cool off."  

I gasp. "Don't you dare!" 

He smiles walking towards the lake where some of the girls are already swimming at. I squirm trying to get out of his grip but of course, he's too strong, like always. 

"Hunter NO!" I yell but it's too late, he throws me in the water and it's freezing. All the guys outside laugh. 

"Good one Hunter." Ethan says. 

I look at Hunter who is laughing uncontrollably. 

"You guys are asses." Paige says and the girl's nod. 

I squint my eyes at the guys. 

(You know what? I know how to make this game play in my favor.)  

I give a mischievous smile to the girls. Hunter sees me and he stops laughing because he knows that I am up to something. I swim over to the edge and slowly get out in front of all the guys and turn around giving my back to them. 

"Look, now I'm all wet." I say pouting but moving seductively.  

(Thank god I have my bikini underneath.) 

I slowly take my wet shirt off and quickly hear silence from behind me where the boys were just recently laughing. 

I smile to myself knowing that this is just too easy and I hear the girl's giggle. 

I slowly unbutton my shorts and slide them down delicately, wiggling my butt to get them off and I hear one of the guys clear his throat. 

I then lift my hand to my hair that is in a wet ponytail and loosen it, letting it fall down my back dramatically like they do in movies. 

I look over my shoulder where all of the guys are staring at me and I innocently smile. 

"Not so funny now, is it." I say softly. All the guys just stare wide-eyed and I see Hunter squinting his eyes at me.  

The girls laugh at them and I get in the water, trying to contain my laugh because of all their stupid expressions. 

(Boys are so dumb.) 

We swim and play for a while with Nathan trying to get me to sit on his shoulders to play that game where you have to knock the other person down but I don't, I pair up with Hunter like I always do. We end up losing anyways cause these girls are strong as hell. After a while, the boys start a small fire where we all go sit to dry up and roast marshmallows. Well, that is until the making out starts to happen. Some of the guys paired up with the girls and started kissing, even Hunter is making out with a random girl, not even Paige. 

"Hey, can I sit with you?" Trevor asks me. 

(Yes!!!) 

I smile. "Yep, my bodyguard is a little preoccupied, so you'll be fine." 

He laughs. "Good." He gives me a wink making me giggle. 

I eat that shit up!  

We talk for a bit and we both get closer to each other. 

At some point, he ends up with his arm on my waist and leans in. He kisses me and I kiss him back but then I stop, looking around at everyone kissing around us. 

"This is awkward as hell." I say and he laughs nodding. 

I look to the forest and then smile at him. He looks to the forest too and then smiles back at me. He gets up, taking my hand and we walk into the woods but not too far. We stay where we can still see the campfire. 

He softly pushed me against a tree and slowly leans into me, kissing me again softly. We kiss for a while and then he drifts to my neck where he stays for a bit nibbling and I hold a moan in. He then slowly makes his way down, and down some more, all the way until he's kneeling and kissing my inner thigh. 

(Oh god yes, I need this.) 

He starts kissing up my thigh softly and I can feel him between my legs but then, a howl comes from deep in the woods making us stop. 

"Wolves?!" I say panicking and out of breath. 

Trevor gets up and takes my hand, leading us back to the others. 

Hunter rushes to me. "Lil, car now!" I nod and head to the car. Once in the car, I look back at the others and they are all standing there looking towards the woods, all tensed up. 

Hunter gets in the car and starts it.  

"Why aren't they leaving?" I ask him panicking. 

"Don't worry about them. They'll leave, they are just... curious." He says. 

"What?" I ask shocked. 

He doesn't say anything else and turns the music on, quickly driving away. 

Once we get home, he parks the car and looks at me. 

"You okay?" He asks concerned. 

I nod my head. "Yea, just shaken up." 

He nods and looks at my neck and my dad's words come to mind.  

"You have hickeys." He says looking irritated and then looks away. 

(Oh!) 

I laugh but not at him, more at myself. I got paranoid because of my dad.  

(Jesus! It's not like he's a vampire.) 

"Good night" I say getting out of the car. 

I find my key and quietly open the door. I look back and see him drive back in the direction of the lake. 

I go into the house knowing that dad is already sleeping and head upstairs.  

I take a shower and lie in bed with Nala purring next to me. 

"That was crazy... dammit! Those dammed wolves interrupted the best part of the night." 

"UUUUHHH!"
