Cathy was too focused on her lecture to think about anything else, but Andrew’s behavior was bothering her. She always loved their dark sense of humor and the lightness they would deal with topics which would be sensitive to most couples they knew. But this time she felt like he was using sarcasm to hide what he was actually thinking and feeling, and she knew him well enough to know he wouldn’t talk unless she pushed him to - and there was a chance this would end in a fight, which also would be very inconvenient.
