Dinner was served. The food wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either. Cathy was a little uneasy thinking about all the stuff she was neglecting to be there, and silently questioning her decision to once again cater to Russell’s whims. His friends were boring, presumptuous and intellectually arrogant, she didn’t like how he acted when he was around them. They treated her well, always commenting on how beautiful she was, how Russell was lucky to have her… But while eating and thinking about a million things at once she noticed how none of them ever asked her anything about herself.
