Cathy had no interest in reviving the past. She was a strong believer that life should move forward, if she didn’t believe in this maybe she would still be in her hometown trying to fix a broken life that was never meant for her. She also believed, however, things could be both familiar and completely different at the same time, because things changed, situations changed and, most importantly, people changed. Andrew was proud, closed off and a huge adept of self loathing, someone who would rather hurt himself and others instead of dealing with his feelings. He never lied to her about this, or about anything else… But the mixed signals were there, messing with her already vulnerable feelings. She didn’t know what to expect from him this time, but she knew exactly what to expect from herself
