Begging In Silence

Chapter Two

Thane's P.O.V

"Again." He growls pushing me back. Trying to catch my breath I use my knees for balance then stand up straight. Shooting, he dodges my blast again, agitated I blast twice and hit him. I smirk as I watch him get up.

"How was that?" He smirks.

"Better, keep going."

"Okay." We keep training till the sun sets and mom comes to get us.

"Sebastian, he's exhausted. I think it's time to stop now." She says and I wipe my sweat away using my shirt.

"Can you keep going?" I nod. "One more session and then we're done."

"Fine. But one more session and that's it." To be honest I'm exhausted, I feel like my body is about to give out on me but I can't afford to be tired. After mom leaves dad and I have one more session then head back inside.

"You're pushing yourself too much Thane." She says as I head upstairs.

"I'm fine." My Alpha voice slips through.

"Thane, Thane." She calls after me, quickly going upstairs I shut the door and lock it. "Are you alright?" I shut my eyes as the pain spread through my body.

"Mhm." I manage to say.

"Then open the door."

"Mom! Stop hovering, please." I hear her sigh.

"I'm sorry Thane, it's just I can't help but worry. You're so much like your father that it's scary but, I'll try giving you some space. Come down when you're done, dinner's ready." I hear her walk away and slide down the door. Trying to control my breathing, when I open my eyes my light shines through.

"Mm!" I groan, clenching my teeth and after a while the pain starts to subside. I slowly make my way to the bathroom, opening the cold water I get in the shower and sit there for a while. After calming down, I shower, get dressed and go downstairs.

"Your food is in the oven warmer." Ares says while flipping through channels. Getting my food, I pour myself a glass of scotch and join him. "It happened again didn't it."

"No." We talk to each other without looking at one another.

"You can lie to mom, even dad but you can't lie to me Thane. I felt it." Right, I forgot that because we're twins we can feel each other's emotions most of the time, even physically. "Maybe we should talk to aunt Miley, see if she can't help."

"I am not doing that. You know her and dad's history."

"That was a long time ago, things aren't the same anymore."

"Easy for you to say, since you are busy with her daughter."

"Shut the f**k up because you don't know what you're talking about!" He growls. Staring me down I can feel my wolf fighting to come out.

"Don't make the mistake of thinking that I'll let you speak to me however you want. You watch your tone."

"Make me." He growls and I quickly grab his neck in a tight grip, growling back. He kicks me on the chest and I hit the wall across the room, quickly getting up I tackle him and we go flying through the dining area window.

"Stop." I put up my hand as we both look at each other. He comes at me, throwing punches, I manage to block a few but some hit, hard. I can feel it fighting to come out.

"Thane! What the hell are you doing?" I can hear mom's voice but faintly, the sounds around me start disappearing as Ares and I keep going at it.

"Ares! Stop."

"Stop." I say through gritted teeth. If he doesn't stop now I'll-

"Still haven't gotten a grip of your powers huh? You're pathetic." And that's when it happens, like a switch just went off. I feel the power surge through my body and when I open my eyes all I see is red. Attacking Ares I beat him as hard and as fast as I can.

"Thane no!" After hearing dad's voice, everything goes silent and I pounce on Ares. 'More' I think, 'I want more' every time I hit him I want to do it again. I'm starting to lose control again. Kicking him in the face I feel dad grab me from behind and mom shielding him.

Ares's P.O.V

The minute his powers took over he changed, I couldn't dodge his blows or even fight back, I was barely handling him.

"Sebastian you get Thane, I'll shield Ares." I hate those words, I don't want or need anyone to shield me. Grabbing Thane, dad pulls him back while mom stands in front of me. I growl underneath my breath. "Thane! Stop."

"Thane! Snap out of it, this isn't you." His eyes are only on me as he struggles against dad.

"You're pathetic." He spits out, that's not his voice. "You need your mother to protect you and your father to hold me back." Your mother? Your father? Who is that?

"Hey! Don't talk to your brother like that."

"Of course you'll defend him, always have and always will anyways. Don't make the mistake of thinking he's a saint, my ruler told him to stop but he wouldn't listen! 'Still haven't gotten a grip on your powers huh? You're pathetic.' How dare you say that?" I look down and mom looks at me.

"Ares is that true? You said that to your brother?" Before I can even answer Thane throws dad on the ground, kicking him across the field and pushes mom out of the way, gripping my neck. He's stronger than dad?

"No Angel will ever win against me! No one talks to my master like that, not even you." He barks, his grip getting tighter. As my vision gets blurred I see him snap out of it and his eyes go back to normal, widening.

"Ares." He whispers. Don't say my name like that, with so much sadness.

"Thane, no!" Mom screams. Quickly letting go he drops me, I guess he forgot we're higher than twenty feet. I watch him get further away as my eyes slowly close.

"I've got you." I hear him whisper, catching me and then everything turns black. Waking up I hide my face from the light.

"Ares, you're awake!" Mom practically squishes the life out of me. My body doesn't hurt so I guess it's safe to say that I'm all healed up.

"Can't breathe mom." And she laughs nervously.

"Sorry. I was just a little worried."

"He's my son, there was nothing to worry about." Dad says entering the room and I smirk. Mom rolls her eyes, soon the images from last night come flashing back and I look around.

"Where's Thane?" Their faces drop. "Mom, where is he?"

"After your fight he was really angry at himself, I told him not to be but he stormed off before your father could talk to him and he hasn't been back since."

"Thane? Thane, where are you?" I try mind linking him but nothing. "He's shutting me out." Getting up, I head into the bathroom and close the door, showering. After getting dressed I walk back out.

"Where are you going?"

"To look for him." There aren't a lot of places he'd go but there is one place I'm sure of. When we were little kids Thane and I would always run off into the mountains and play hookie because we didn't want to train then one day, we found this cave east of the pack house. Exploring it we found out that deeper into the cave there was a secret hideout that needed you to swim across the waters to get to it. After finding that place it soon became our refuge, a safe place we could go where no one would find us. Getting to the cave I get in, swim through and get to the other side. There he is. "Thane."

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to take you home."
