He could hardly believe what he’d just seen. His own Unit’s Mates all strolled past Nora. They didn’t even see her and he knew it. They were talking and laughing among themselves, and Nora actually bowed and stepped out of their way and not one of them saw anything wrong with it. She was his Mate and held the same rank as him, but they didn’t see that.
