“Coen go! You have to help. I’ll be fine. I’ll be here when you get back.” Ivy all but pushed him out of their bed. Rowen had just called him and told him that things were escalating quickly, and he was needed in the fight. Rowen and Alexandra had let him stay with Ivy for as long as he could, but they needed him now. The entire pack did.
She knew he didn’t want to leave her, especially with the full moon due in just a few hours, but she knew he needed to. If the rogues got through the fighters and made it into their camp, then there was a good chance that she would die either way. As a human, she would be entirely useless not to mention the fact that she was the rogues biggest target. Coen simply had to go. He had no other choice.
