Chapter Twenty-Three – Ivy
Ivy was sitting on Alexandra’s couch sipping on a cup of tea when Coen burst through the door calling for her. A sudden feeling of déjà vu washed over her which caused chills to run down her spine. She guessed by the desperate sound in Coen’s voice that Rowen told him about the bite. Ivy opened her mouth to call for him, but Alexandra beat her to it.
“She’s in the living room, Coen. Parker and Lux are sleeping, keep it down.” Ivy heard Alexandra tell him when she rounded the corner holding some fresh bandages.
“Sorry, Lexie.” Coen said almost sheepishly. Ivy’s heart went out for him. He looked as miserable as she felt. Alexandra walked in and placed the bandages on the table. Ivy watched as Coen followed her into the room.
