Ash’s POV:
Leila makes an angry huff and looks into the middle distance with a strangely vacant look in her eyes that startles me for a second before I realise she’s just thinking. Trying to find something in her mind that she can’t reach. Brows furrowed in confusion, I just sat there and waited to see if she’ll find something for a long time before she huffs again, anger swirling in those sky blue eyes I love so much. “It’s no use. I can’t remember anymore.”
“Are you sure there’s more to remember?” I ask gently, not sure if she’s trying to reach for something that was perhaps never there at all but that she wants to exist. So she knows she’s not crazy.
