After sending the email, I made up my mind that I wasn't going to wait to break the news of my pregnancy to my family, which, in my mind and heart, included Andrew and Evie, as well as Cedric and Carolyn. I did want to tell Alexander first though. I texted him, asking what time he would be home, letting him know I had the afternoon off.
'I'll be home in twenty minutes. Is anyone else there? Or will we be alone?' came his prompt response.
I giggled, knowing exactly what he was thinking. 'I'm alone. Gramps and Ethan are out for at least another two hours.'
