Cecilia's POV
The evening was a success as we ate, talked, laughed and played with the babies. Little Matthew was once again clamouring to be held by me and fussed when his parents gathered him and his sister up and left with the Carrs to put their children to bed. Andrew went with them to see them safely to their units then returned to visit for another couple of hours.
It was midnight when our last guest left and Ethan returned from escorting his parents to their apartment. Alexander and I went to bed, leaving it up to Gramps and Ethan to lock up for the night. We quickly did our bedtime routines, then crawled into bed. It felt so good to stretch out. Despite the warmth of the night air we snuggled together, the air conditioning keeping our room a comfortable temperture.
