Wow! I knew Cecilia was smart, but it turns out she's brilliant. Motivated too. There's not many twenty-three-year-olds that can say they have accomplished even close to what she has. Now I know that when Andrew said she was a 'keeper' he wasn't referring to her family money and status.
Not that he gave much credence to those two things in making a person worth getting to know. That was the last thing he look at when it came to a person. He, like me, had grown up in a fairly wealthy family. And he, like me, had walked away from the pretentious, elitist lifestyle, establishing a career in a field he loved. Marrying the woman he loved instead of bowing to family pressure and marrying the woman they chose to further a business alliance.
