Kaden Jones message to his mother prompted me to read through all the texts between Robert Jones and Candace Clowater looking for any and every mention of Kaden's involvement in his father's plans. I needed to know if he was a willing participant, or if like he said, he was being pressured by his father.
It was on the third reading that I found what I was looking for. I'm not sure how I missed this particular text message before now. But it proved Kaden spoke the truth. Robert was threatening to have Andrea hurt if Kaden didn't go along with Robert's plans. Robert had confided in Candace that the only way he could get Kaden to agree was by issuing the threat.
