Chapter 47: Demon Doll
Jessie’s POV
I could tell Jamie was distracted throughout our menu and cake testing at the Marigold Hotel. The food was delicious but I was distracted by how distracted my mate was. We picked out hors d’oeuvres, main courses and desserts. Then we tried different combinations of frosting flavours with cake flavours to help us decide on the best pairing. Zoe had tagged along. She was almost ready to pop. She had been moody these past few days and Dalton thought cake testing might cheer her up so he was representing me at an Alpha meeting while I ate cake with my Jamie and his Zoe.
“We have a winner!” Declared Zoe, raising the plate of hazelnut chocolate cake high in the air.
“Yeah, I want the hazelnut chocolate but what if many guests are allergic to nuts,” wonder
