AMELIA’S POV
From the moment Victoria sprung her second attack, it became clear that they were much better prepared or at the very least much stronger than their midway ambush. Victoria didn’t gun for me this time round, but seemed hell bent on taking my mother down. Evidently, mother in the last few days, had truly pushed all her buttons.
While I instinctively wanted to protect her, I wasn’t given much of a choice. I could feel attacks incoming from all directions. I couldn’t even see my attackers. I reacted fast and built a protective shield around myself, before attempting to stop the attacks. At this point I had to focus on those trying to take me down; as for my mother, I could only hope that Selene would be able to break the bond connecting Marcus and Victoria soon.
