It had been almost a week since Selene blessed me with powers. Yes - blessed. There were no two ways about it even though it was hard to stop myself from flinching when I had to meet people, especially warriors. I had tried keeping Selene's words from my first day in mind throughout the entire time I was having to interact with anyone who wasn’t Jake or Amelia. But I had become better at understanding people’s aura - that was what the colours represented which helped me tremendously. After the first two days, Selene focused more on teaching me how to build shields and recognise the work of dark magic as compared to reading people. After all, those gifts would be more important in a war.
