It's Marnie's 24th birthday today and Doctor Michael prepared a surprise party for his beloved wife. She had been through a lot and he doesn't want to let her birthday pass that way alone without giving her the thanksgiving party for another new life.
He asked the help of Marnie's parents and siblings to prepare a surprise birthday party for her. He will accompany Marnie on her regular medical check-up at the hospital while Marnie's family will prepare and set up the party in their home.
"Thanks, Mom," he said to his mother-in-law over the phone before they left home.
On the other side, Marnie was having tantrums already as she hadn't been greeted by her husband ever since they woke up early this morning. "Hmmph. It seemed that he already forgot my birthday," she murmurs to herself. She wasn't in the mood while she was about to hitch in Doctor Michael's car.
Doctor Michael saw how his wife's mood changed and he can't help but smile. He knew that his little wife is now in bad mood but then he doesn't want to pre-empt their surprise for her that's why he kept on pretending that he forgot her birthday.
"Did you forget something?" Marnie asked him when they were heading to the hospital for her check-up.
"Nope," Doctor Michael replied and continues to drive already.
Marnie kept silent during their journey to the hospital. Her mood was already in bad shape and she doesn't want to talk to his husband anymore. She hates to remind him of her birthday. "He should know. Hmmph!" she said to herself.
"Hey! Why so quiet?" Doctor Michael asked her.
"Nothing!" she said in a high pitch making Doctor Michael step his car breaks. He knew his beloved wife's temper. He can't help but laugh and comb his wife's hair with his fingers. He missed this little childishness of his wife.
"I love you," he said then gave her a peck on her lips.
"I love you too, hmmm," Marnie replied even though she's in bad mood making Doctor Michael laughs more.
Marnie was a bit irritated with her husband already.
