Elise sighed, watching the sunrise with a smile on her face. She had missed this so much. She closed her eyes shut and let the warmth of the sun absorb onto her skin. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes again, the sky was clear now without any hint of darkness which was there a couple of minutes ago.
Her smile faltered when and slowly became a frown when she thought about what happened last night. It was an intense night for her for two different reasons. One brought her joy and the other one, unfortunately, didn't.
