Chapter 16 The sudden blare of the alarm clock cut through the air like a siren, shaking Serenity out of a much-needed deep sleep. She had only managed to grab a couple of hours of rest, and for a split second, she stared at the ceiling in total confusion, her brain feeling like it was wrapped in cotton.
