Alliah and Jamiro's romance has been kept discreet for a while since Alliah hadn't annulled her first marriage yet.
Marriage in the Philippines needs to undergo legality in separation through annulment.
When things got worse during that time, Alliah decided to leave her former husband. She was pregnant then. She was so stressed and exhausted. She hadn't filed anything yet to make their marriage null and void as she was expecting that he would change and probably come back to her and their child.
Unfortunately, her ex-husband enjoyed his freedom, and being a womanizer seemed to be his sickness already. He can't leave without a vixen.
The house that they had built together took the majority of Alliah's savings and had been invested in it, almost becoming a house wherein he took women anytime.
Alliah then decided now to go with the process of legality, may it be annulment or legal separation just to eliminate the surname of her ex-husband from hers. She wanted to live comfortably and get the rights of her child as a legal one.
It took her 7 years to finally decide to file it. She's now looking for a lawyer to help her pursue her annulment and the rights of her child as a legal one.
Her former high school classmate was now a lawyer, in fact, one of the most commendable lawyers in the country.
Alliah hesitated for quite a while to approach Attorney Noel, but she needed to.
She told Jamiro about her plans to file an annulment.
"Are you sure? You wanted to annul your marriage already?" Jamiro asked Alliah seriously. He knew that he was part of Alliah's major decision in filing an annulment case against her former husband.
"Yes, I have already decided to cut our legal ties and to demand my child's support," Alliah responds.
Jamiro embraced Alliah so tightly. Alliah's decision finally made him proud. It was a big decision Alliah would be making for him.
"You made me happy, my love. I will help you approach Attorney Noel. He was my cousin," Jamiro excitedly told Alliah.
"Wow! Great. Thank you so much Jam," Alliah sincerely thanked the man in front of her.
Jamiro seemed to be an angel in Alliah's life. He came at the right time as everything seemed to be right for Alliah now.
Nonetheless, Alliah was making this decision to avoid conflicts with both parties. She didn't want to be the wife of her former irresponsible husband, and she just wanted to get the rights to her legitimate son. She doesn't want to inform Jamiro that she isn't ready yet for another relationship. Perhaps, in time when she is ready to settle down, she will make Jamiro a part of her family already.
For now, Alliah doesn't want to have any conflicts with anybody else for the sake of her son, Joshua.
Jamiro will do everything to make the love of his life, Alliah, happy. Alliah suffered a lot, and he would no longer allow any suffering for her to experience. He will take care of her by all means.
Jamiro immediately dialed the number of his cousin, Attorney Noel.
"Hi, what's up brother," Attorney Noel answered his phone call. He was quite amazed as it was the first time his cousin, Jamiro, called him up.
"I would like to ask a favor from you, brother. It was Alliah Torralba's case. She wanted to file an annulment from her ex-husband. Do you remember her? I think she was your high school classmate before," Jamiro said.
Attorney Noel smiled. How can he forget Alliah? She was his secret crush when they were classmates.
"Yeah, I will never forget her. I was once her secret admirer during our school days," Attorney Noel told Jamiro.
Jamiro was a bit shocked. It seemed that his cousin still had a crush on his loved one.
"But, that was before. Anyway, let's go back to your favor. Was she asking for your help to approach me?" Attorney Noel asked Jamiro.
"She was looking for a lawyer to help her with the case. I just volunteered to approach you to help her," Jamiro couldn't find any words to inform his cousin that Alliah was now his woman. This was Alliah's request, to keep their relationship secret for a while to avoid some conflicts.
"Alright, I will help her. Send me her number. I will call her for a meeting. Is there anything you want to confess to me, brother?" The Attorney had some hints regarding how concerned his cousin, Jamiro, was about Alliah's annulment case.
"Nothing. I am just helping her. Besides, her siblings were my friends as well. She was such a family to me," Jamiro said while smiling. He knew he couldn't fool his cousin, but for now, he respected Alliah's request not to have a relationship with anyone yet.
"I smell something. But it's okay until such time you trust me already ha ha," the Attorney could read between the lines.
"Or maybe, you can be my bridge for me to pursue her," the Attorney teased his cousin.
"Don't ever cross the line, brother. Alliah will be just your client, okay,", alarmed at what the attorney had just said. He was thinking about looking for another lawyer to assist Alliah instead.
"I am just kidding. Ha ha," Attorney Noel laughed after hearing how nervous Jamiro was. Then it was confirmed already.
Jamiro breathed with relaxation now after the attorney said that he was kidding. He will inform his cousin soon about his relationship with Alliah.
"Thank you, brother," Jamiro replied.
"No worries," the attorney said.
After Jamiro's talk with Attorney Noel, he immediately approached Alliah, who was busy with her laptop. They were in a coffee shop and Alliah was writing her novels.
Jamiro went out to call the attorney a while ago.
"I've already talked to Attorney Noel. He will just call you for a meeting regarding your case for annulment. Just wait for his call," he said to Alliah.
Alliah said shyly," Thank you, Jam. You made everything easy for me."
Jamiro held Alliah's hand and said," I will help you for as long as I can, Alliah. I promise to take care of you.'
Jamiro kissed Alliah's hand.
Alliah slowly took her hand and looked around. Their relationship was not yet announced, and she didn't want anybody to know about it for now.
Jamiro understood the situation and smiled at Alliah.
"I apologize. I was just carried away," he said apologically. "I love you."
Alliah smiled and said, "I love you more."
