She didn't know what woke her first, the feel of wetness creeping down her legs or the intense cramping that came in waves. Amber desperately shook Liam awake. He cracked one eye open and took a whiff, smelling something metallic in the air. He wrenched the sheets back and they both saw the blood pooling down her thighs and legs.
Amber began to hyperventilate, terrified that she was losing her babies, while Liam tried to remain calm, for her sake.
