Bella took a piece of apple from the plate and smiled at her mother.
“What do you want to speak to me about?”
“Your father and I have decided to enter into a business arrangement with the Parker Group.”
“What!” Bella almost choked on the apple in her mouth. She had no idea her parents had been considering this.
Mrs Green quickly passed Bella a cup of water.
Once Bella had composed herself, she surprised her mother by boldly saying, “I disagree.”
