After leaving James’ apartment, Bella took a taxi to the company. She had already cursed James in her heart a thousand times by the time she arrived. All her strength was gone. Her whole body was aching.
A while later, James arrived as well with breakfast for two. He walked calmly towards Bella and gave her the food.
“Bella, why did you leave home in such a hurry? You haven’t had your breakfast yet,” he complained.
James’ obvious good mood put Bella in a sulk. How could he be so refreshed when she just felt taken advantage of? It was unfair. Unfair!
Unaware of Bella’s annoyance, James sat down and casually finished the breakfast.
Bella chewed as hard as she could as if every bite could hurt James in some way.
