James noticed Eve was eager to leave. As a result he ate deliberately slowly throughout the meal.
At six thirty, Eve couldn’t stand it any more. She stood up and announced apologetically, “I really have an emergency situation to deal with. I have to leave now.”

“If you are really busy, you can go,” James uttered coldly.
