When Tom arrived, what he saw was to him a truly beautiful scene. Bella was sitting beside the window. There were delicate rays of sunshine crisscrossing across her face, illuminating her in an angelic light.
Tom held his breath and walked silently. He didn’t want to disturb the peaceful moment.
However, when he sat down opposite Bella, she turned cold at the sight of him.
Tom felt bitter about her change, and asked, “Bella, you seem awfully on edge, what’s wrong?”
Ignoring his question, Bella asked with an unfriendly voice, “So, why did you ask me here?”
Tom looked up, staring at Bella, the woman with whom he had fallen in love all those months ago.
“Bella, can’t we be the same as before? We used to be so close, all the time we spent together in college… let’s go back to that.”
