Alpha Kai’s P.O.V.
It was still very early in the morning when I got a mind link coming in so strong it woke me up immediately. And I already knew what was happening. The air around us was filled with tension and my wolf could hear the sounds of enemies standing at our borders clear as day. My guards were alarming me, begging me for help. It was clear, the war was about to start, and we needed to act fast to protect our pack lands and the pack members. I knew that I needed to say goodbye to my family before I went to fight, but the thought of having to leave my sweet angel and both my pups filled my heart with dread. I had always been a protective father and mate, and the idea of not knowing of I would even survive this battle and ever see them again was almost too much to bare.
