* When we get home, my husband is on the couch watching a movie. I show him his snacks with a little goofy dance, causing him to smile and shake his head. Then I go ahead and eat for the day, because I don't like to eat too late. I also feed the kids because they have their eyes on their snacks, and my daughter won't let up until she has her tooties. (cookies)
After dinner, I get to work on my couch, as he, continues to watch the television. (Yes we each have our own couch, and if, he sit's on mine or if I sit on his we remind each other. Our daughter doesn't care, she will jump into our seats if we get up. She finds it hilarious and so do we. (There is never a dull moment with children)
I decided to lay down earlier, but I only waited until he was asleep to go back to the living room to read. It helps me to relax and to sleep. (eventually) I have always loved to read and I just got back into reading again.
He started complaining about it, but he couldn't find a reason to why I shouldn't read. I guess he feels that just because he doesn't like to read, it can't be interesting enough to take me away for hours at a time. Sometimes I want to feel like a beautiful princess from an exotic land and sometimes I want to be kidnapped and mated to a handsome werewolf dammit. (I'm in my element, when I'm reading)
The next morning, I wake up early and I make him a big breakfast with his favorite coffee. He walks into the kitchen with a smile and hugs me. I used to make his breakfast all the time, but I am not a morning person.
I stopped because he would make me angry by telling me how to make it, even though, I had been making it for years. I was pregnant with our daughter at the time, so I, don't know if it was because he felt bad that I had to wake up and fix his breakfast, or, if it was because I snapped on him. (I was also taking online classes at the time and I was extra tired)
I didn't eat with him since I'm not really a breakfast person, I just drank my tea and watched while he ate. "I know you went to the living room last night," "I woke up to use the bathroom," he says as he looks at me, as if, I'm a student that got caught skipping class or something.
"You know, I have trouble sleeping" "Why don't you read during the day, then you can sleep at night?" "Sometimes I also read in the day, but that won't help me with my sleeping problem" ''Why does it bug you so much?" "I just want you to be healthy," "I'm fine if I start to feel bad I will find another way to get to sleep'' He doesn't say anything he just starts back eating so I figure the discussion is over.
After my husband leaves for work, I wake the kids up early, so that, we can visit my sister. We had to leave out a little early, since she lives a ways away from us. I cooked extra yesterday, so that, I won't have to rush home to cook. I always cook enough for leftovers because some days I don't want to cook.
We went shopping, and then got something to eat. After we ate we walked around the walking trail of her apartments. It is so peaceful and their are many people walking their dogs and exercising. We weren't the only one's with kids, well I wasn't. There were lots of families on the trail. My sister's children are older, one just graduated from college and another one just enrolled.
We have a lot of nieces and nephews and she loves when she can see them, and they, all feel the same about her. I've even had sleepovers at her house. (One of our younger sisters wanted to have a sleepover for her birthday) She's the one to see if you want to have fun, and my oldest niece is also good with planning events.
I knew that my husband would beat us home but I was in no rush. He likes to eat after 7pm anyways, so I still had time to bathe. After I get out of the shower he get's in, and I, surprise him by setting up his foot soaker that also has a built in massager. I bought it for fathers day and he didn't want it but I kept forgetting to take it back to the store, and he, ended up using it more than he thought he would. I also use it, because, I have decided to pamper myself more. (I give myself two self care days a week) I don't think that two is too many since I've never had one, and if, I miss one day I still have another day to look forward to.
As he soaks his feet and watches a movie I tell him about our day. I will be up late working, since, I haven't worked at all today. "Did you get me the socks?" "Oh crap, I forgot," "I will get them tomorrow" "Okay, I really need them because my feet have been hurting again," "Well this should help your feet, because, I added Epson salt and I will have the socks here when you get off" "I will even get you two pair,"
(I guess I'll use my money) I think to myself since he didn't give me any. Ever since I started working, he doesn't give me money or ask if I need it. Even though when I first started I didn't really make much, but, I have never been a beggar and it's not like I just run through money. I used to save it all, unless I needed something and now I have a balance.
