“Sam!” “Yeah?” I respond when I hear Rida call my name as she peeks in. “Are you expecting someone tonight?” “Oh! Uhm, yes. Is he here?” Rida looks at me curiously. She knows I don’t have any other friends but her. “How do you—” “It’s a long story, Rida. But to cut it short, he’s my classmate,” I say while walking out of my room. I don’t have much to wear, just a plain shirt under a jacket and my blue jeans. My clothes are old, but since I rarely wear them, they still look good as new. Back at our house, I saved the ones I knew I could use later and wore the rag-like ones whenever I did chores or errands.
