"Please, let's not talk about it. It only happened once." "When? And why didn't you tell me?" I was surprised at how furious Rida was, yet I felt flattered. I had no friends back then. No one had ever done this for me. I could tell she was genuinely concerned. "I went to submit the photos for my photography club and that's when I bumped into a group of students." "What else did they do to you?" "Nothing else. They just pushed me away, and I accidentally fell and hit the edge of the stairs." "If this ever happens again, tell me. Okay?" "Promise!" I raised my hand as a sign of pledge. I smiled when she finally relaxed. "Thank you. Thank you for being my friend," I said as I hugged her. I was so thankful for her friendship. She's not just a good friend — to me, she's my best friend.
