Chapter Three With Myril’s amulet tucked under her tunic and the city streets behind her, Darna let out a deep breath. She’d been on alert constantly since Thorat had brought her the news, even when she was safe in Myril’s room. Outside of the city, she felt safer, so much so that she almost enjoyed the ride in the cart. Its bumping, unsteady progress kept her awake but only just barely. She felt jumbled up and put back together in haste after the days of hiding, like the lone pack of her own belongings somewhere in there among the sacks of tools and boxes of scrolls.
